Pomona Hope

Seven years after its founding, Pomona Hope is a small but thriving organization poised for growth. We are now launching our first major fundraising campaign. The Growing Hope! Campaign will help us strengthen our existing programs and seize strategic opportunities to help transform our City. Through this Campaign, which is scheduled to last through July 2012, we seek to double our number of donors, volunteers, partners, and champions, and raise $200,000 in new funds to expand our work in Pomona.

Goals

On October 21 Pomona Hope held its fourth annual awareness and fundraising banquet. The theme of the evening was “Harvesting Hope,” and at the banquet we heard our Executive Director and Program Director share about the ways Pomona Hope has grown and is outgrowing its current programming. We went into the evening with high hopes for our Growing Hope! Campaign and $30,000 in matching grant commitments. We are thrilled to announce that at the banquet we were able to raise more than $30,000 in gifts and pledges. Combined with our matching grants we are thrilled to announce a total of more than $60,000 was raised towards our Growing Hope! Campaign, bringing us within $50,000 of our $200,000 goal.

We want to thank everyone who was in attendance at the event for their support and enthusiasm about Pomona Hope. This money and overwhelming support is a mandate to continue the essential work of our mission, and respond to the growing needs of our constituency.
