After School with Pomona Hope
Scholastic Report Highlights
Our students (K-12th grade) showed significant improvement in the following Subjects:
- English skills
- Math skills
- Listening and Social Studies/History
- Science skills
GPA (from last report card of the school year):
- 40% of students averaged an A
- 33 % of students averaged a B
- 27% of students averaged a C
Center Street Community Garden in Partnership with First Presbyterian Church of Pomona
- A once ugly lot across the street from the Pomona Hope Community Center has been beautified, creating a sense of hope and decreasing crime in the immediate area by 40%.
- Plots are available for rent, where people can grow their own produce. One family saved $100 on groceries thanks to their plot.

Padres Fuertes Hacen Familias Fuertes
- Parents have had a place to share lessons in parenting and learn valuable skills.
- There have been more than a dozen parents in each class in the last year.
- Participants learn how to effectively engage with their personal challenges.
