Pomona Hope Summer Internship Program
Since 2008, the Pomona Hope Summer Internship has been an important part of our mission to bring transformation to the people, families, and neighborhoods of Pomona. Our purpose in creating the internship is two-fold; giving outstanding college students an opportunity to serve in an at-risk community while receiving an invaluable experience of living in a Christian community.

How interns serve:

Interns work in collaboration with our staff and each other to design the Summer Enrichment Program for our kids and youth. While planning sessions in reading enhancement, our interns in previous years have designed fun classes in math, drama, music, local history, film, visual arts, and science!

Interns help recruit our kids and youth, help with parent and volunteer orientation, and creatively assist our staff in creating a great summer experience for our Pomona Hope community.

How interns receive:

A faith-based organization, Pomona Hope believes that the transformation of our community must begin with a spiritual transformation of ourselves. Interns read and discuss several books that articulate Pomona Hope’s core values (community, empowerment, and discipleship.)
